Zach Ooohn

Mighty Joe Moon there is no controlling you.

Note to self: never again attempt to work construction shift on four hours sleep. Also never again do that without drinking some massive amounts of water to ward off wicked LeinenfuckenKooguls hangover.

I have to say, though, that the Mt.St.'s were fantastic. Fantastic. A large crowd was there. Many. Fun times. My ears hurt after about ten minutes. After they finished, the next band set up. I'd heard about them. Good things. I was actually interested to watch them. They started. They were called The Natural History, the man said, and they are from New York. Absolutely fucking fabulous. The first band I've seen at the Fireside like EVER to completely rock me. So so so great. Rick said, fairly loudly, "Dude, I would fuck their singer." A male singer, but I saw his point. They had this weird intensity, yet were poppy and catchy and the hooks made the ceiling brown in envy (well...). Highly recommended.

And, yes, I didn't get much sleep. And I missed an important call from theRy, which I regret. She's the best, the damn girl.

Kudos to Quinn for driving my ass there and back.

ANd Mjarcie: I cannot attend Bears Training Camp. Unfortunately, I have this thing called a JOB, which requires that I WORK on weekdays, typically for a thing they call a WAGE. What are Saturday's for, ass? And, indeed, my K sticker is still there. Every time I drive by it, I say "WOW! My sticker is still there?!!? And theRy, who is usually next to me, rolls her eyes as I tell her the story again. And again. And again.

Next five: Anything by the Natural History; "my city of ruins" by the boss (just got his new record); "ok" by beth orton; "Sorry for caring but I thought you'd like to know that you are a fucking mess" by lois lane; and "texas jailbreak" by themtsthelens.

in the stereo: Guy chewing gum loudly. I'm a gum chewer. I do it compulsively, mostly cos I'm worried about my breath, if you wanna know the truth. There's me chewing gum while I drink beer, there's me chewing gum while I study, you get the drift. There is one cardinal rule about gum chewing, in my opinion. Keep it to yerself.
