Two Stories, by Me
1. Somehow The Simpsons casino episode that aired earlier today ended up turning into a Marc/Luke casino outing in Peoria where I proceeded to lose money and Luke proceeded to win money. Ick. Total spur-of-the-moment-type-thing, but it happened, and I ended up walking around on a boat for about an hour just staring at all these old people throwing their social security checks away on 25 cent slot machines. Sad. But it makes for a good story. Too bad I'm in no condition to tell it.
2. A dude in our apartment tried to convince us that the band, Coldplay, is from/currently residing in Morris, Illinois, home of the great pumpkin shooting festival. Yeah ... sure. I tried, in turn, to convince him that the Who were from Rantoul, that the Dave Clark Five were from Galena, that Steve Winwood was from Ottawa, and that the Animals were from Rockford. He wasn't buying it, even though I was totally selling it.
3. Beer on a Monday night. Bears training camp next week. Mmm ... beer.
