ZooK

I just want to be your slave, oh you ain't never had nothing I wanted, but I want it all, i just can't figure it out.

Jesus Christ, this Strokes album is good. I promise I'll have it home by 2:00 p.m. today, houseguest. I read something yesterday that said "This is so fucking good, but yer gonna be pulling yer hair out about how EASY it sounds." And that is about as true as it gets. I was walking here this morning and could actually play one of the songs in my head. Marcie will atest: that shouldn't happen, cos I suck at guitar.

Suck my dee-ack I hate K--X. One time at a meeting for student teaching he was rambling on and on about how smart he is, and he used this terrible British Accent as his "establishment" voice telling him he couldn't teach Mythology***!***, and I asked him, in front of a group of about 30, if that was the best British accent he could muster, and he glared at me for about ten minutes, and probably wishes I had a nice rack so he could molest me. Dirty bastard.

I like Pitchfork. It's not their fault they let the wrong people do stuff for them. Wait. I mean, half that staff are a bunch of dush***2*** bags who spend too much time pretending to listen to the Velvet Underground while actually taking guilty doses of Dashboard! or whatev. I do enjoy the constant updates, and some of the kids write intelligent, witty reviews. Boldface the Some.

Later, remind me to tell you about this girl I know, and how it took her five weeks to tell me she had been on the Price is Right this summer. And I do mean ON.

Next five: "New york city cops" by the strokes; "wouldn't it be nice" by the beach boys; "our weekend starts on Wednesday" by hey mercedes; "we laugh indoors" by death cab for cutie; and "no more, please, i have kids to feed" by iols enal.

in the stereo: the strokes "is this it"***3***

***!***A fascinating thing to me, honestly, that some schools do not allow Greek Mythology to be taught. Now I know where the people who burn down mosques come from. I am, then, in the eyes of many, a pagan for having read Mythology.
***2***No longer is deuche the proper nomenclature: dush, please.
***3***It's pretty damn close, fr sure.
