i'm proud to announce a new addition to the mcboober family-- a fender acoustic guitar.

yeah, that's right. and i'm pumped. as i attended the soon-to-be-sister-in-law's (sick) graduation ceremony and festivities at the fine university of iowa this weekend, i was able to purchase my sweet, new baby seeing as the graduate received it as a gift from a former beau about a year ago, but never plays it. and by "purchase," i mean "get for free." a kind donation will be made some time in the future, i imagine. but for now, i've got a hardly played guitar, complete with case, replacement strings, and associated tools/cleaning supplies/chord books, at my disposal. can you say "jayeah!"?

i've put new strings on and played to my heart's content already tonight. for now, i'm enjoying the end of the very last x-files, eating some fudge shoppe cookies. i'll undoubtedly have to set up my own "fudge shoppe" in the room right off the hallway later.
