I haven't showered in four days ... I think. My feet are fucking stinking it up to the nines right now. Fuck.
Who's with me on a race to kill all the computers of the world? I'm registering for classes, and in my (seemingly) vain attempts to avoid having to go all the way to the friggin' library to do so, I've installed Illinois State University's version of the internet on me laptop, but she's only giving me a middle finger in return. Fucking silly broad ... cut it out. Work right, so I can get through tomorrow. I've realized that I screwed myself by taking that year off and not keeping up on what I should've been doing in the meantime (ie - taking tests that would get me into my methods and teaching courses). So, as of now, I'm going to try and enroll in 3 classes and see what I can do about another one or two. Fucking bullshite if you ask me. They might as well just hand me my diploma sometime soon, and just get me out of there. I can't imagine how big my loans are going to be by the time I graduate ***1***.
And the biggest kick in the nuts is the fact that the prose/creative writing class I was hedging my hopes on is full. I don't understand how this school operates ***2***.
And, I still haven't been anyplace cool, like Australia or Europe or Indochina. I wonder how long it takes for frequent flyer miles to expire. I'm going to run out of money before I get the chance to go anywhere. Maybe I can swing being a bum in some foreign land sometime next winter break. Sound good to anyone? If you've got a semi-comfortable floor, and you live outside of the US, drop me a line and tell me why my (by that time) 23-year-old ass should crash in your corner of the world. As it always works with me, no guarantees on whether or not I'll actually follow through with this ... just kind of nice to daydream every once in a while.
