here's what i just realized: i am deathly afraid of metal sliding security fences on stores. the kind that locks into place to protect a glass door over night, and then folds up into itself when opened in the morning.

here's why: i don't want to get my hand cut off when one is opened.

there is no basis for this, since i have never really been near one when it has been shoved open. but you've gotta understand, you can reach right through the thing! when it's opened, what WAS open space becomes NOTHING as the accordian-like process takes place. it could slice you right up! someone could easily lose a finger. or worse.

a hand.

come on people, admit it... that's scary. my skin just crawled.
