ZooK

Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees.

12. Aloha--s/tEP
13. Aloha--That's Your Fire
14. American Football--Polyvinyl EP
15. American Football--S/T LP
16. The And/Or's--Will Self-Destruct
17. Antarctica--23:03 EP
18. Antarctica--81:03 LP

13-18 are pretty much the whole garment of late 90's EMO. But good EMO. Aloha's records are both experimental and catchy, and that goes for Antarctica too. All but Aloha here have members of the mid-90's EMOxplosion (Cap'n'Jazz, Christie Front Drive, Jejune), which says something. Had I been forced to choose a song here, it would have to be "At the Saturn bar" which is the only reason to buy the And/Or's. Bastards took my name for a band (the either/or's).

I'm extrememly worried about my truck right now, which is parked on the street behind where I sit. On the street, more than amply away from the fire hydrant on the grass, but the curb was painted a heavily faded yellow. I couldn't even tell the color, really. If I go out and move it, guarantee nothing happens. If I don't, guarantee it gets a ticket/towed. No win No win No win. To quote: Nothing is ever easy.

Tonight: Juno. There are nasty rumors that the show may start at 7 and that Juno are playing first. If this is true, I will not be happy.

Next five: "the trail of your blood in the snow" by juno; "the night they drove old dixie down" by the band; that snippet from the first godspeed you black emperor EP where the guy from Bahston explains his speeding ticket; "In a Wes Anderson World everybody dresses like it's Halloween at Harvard" by the lois lane Bible beaters; and "atlantic" by bill janovitz.

in the stereo: godspeed you black emperor!
