And I forgot to mention that I saw Sparta on Conan the other day (thank God for Comedy Central!) and they were truly awful. Like seriously the worst band I've ever seen perform on live television. While the guy who sang in at the drive in (I always have trouble calling people in bands by their first names, it seems so pretentious) sounded ok, the guy doing backup vocals needs to seriously stop. Just stop. Either let that "everything, everything!" in "cut your ribbon" go or figure out a way to have someone else sing it cos it just made the band sound like amateurs. you know who they sounded like? That Forstella Ford band, that awful mess of a band that I saw play a few shows when they had that emo name that I can't remember anymore (falling seems forever or sunday sweater forever or some shit). Just bad bad bad. Sorry for those of you who are paying to see that show tonight, though Cave In doesn't disappoint. So I've heard, anyway.
