We Did It!
I'm seriously not ready for another Chicago Bears' season. No joke. I don't know if I'm going to be able to handle all this pressure that they put on us, the poor, enduring fans of their game. It's just like being a Cubs fan if you get right down to it, except you know that the Bears actually have a chance now and no matter what you just cannot escape this feeling of abandoment that an entire summer of Cubs games has given you. But not today, folks. We win! This afternoon kicked off what will hopefully be a long string of Sundays spent in the living room with extra-large, extra-cheese pizzas, and Pepsis, and warm company, including our dearest Zach ____. The both of us took the biggest hits for the team today as our pizza delivery man didn't exactly keep the pizza level in his car and the cheese was literally sliding out of the box by the time we got it plopped down on the table. I had a piece that was 1/3 dough, 2/3 cheese oozing in every direction. My stomach, people. My poor, poor stomach. It didn't help that we were losing going into the half and this huge lump of worry was upset with an even larger lump of cheese, but I'll you one thing -- it all dissipated during the second half when the Bears decided to wake up and play some football. We did it. I can't believe it. We did it.
