Nothing wrong with a little break from the BLARG.
It is official. Zach will be most pleased to hear this. Hell has frozen over as I have finally purchased, and am currently enjoying, a Wilco LP. Read it. Make it bleed. That's all you get. No gloating. No "I told you so's". Just congratulate me. Chalk it up to another in a long line of people that I've claimed I didn't like, yet I find myself enjoying.
Also picked up the new Green Day collection of b-sides and stuff, and the Super Furry Animals as well. The first half and the last handful of songs on the Green Day album are awesome, just like their Dookie/Insomniac stuff. The middle stuff is kind of weak. I think it's a cover or two, and there's some stupid instrumental song in there, too. Yuck. Super Furry Animals. Awesome. I listened to it four times in a row yesterday as I sat my fat ass on the couch and played some new Hot Shots Golf 3 for the PS2. Yeah. I know what I'll be doing come next week. Video games, video games, video games.
It's been a long time since I've dabbled in the business wholeheartedly. Sure, sure. Matt and myself and the rest of our last apartment got to be quite proficient at Perfect Dark for the N64, but we weren't really playing it to beat the game. Yesterday and the day before you should've seen me. I've got HSG3 and Medal of Honor: Frontline all queued up and I'm wasting 'em like there's no tomorrow. I'm the type of guy that is so naturally good at playing these fucking things that people like to watch. I had an audience of about five people for fuck's sake and I kept saying, "you want I should turn this off so we can turn on some music or something?" and they're all just saying, "no, no, it's weird, we usually don't like video games, but this is kind of cool to watch." Uh-huh. Suck on them gnards.
Yurtle.
Next dissemination: Dodge City, Kansas. Where's a noose when you need one?
