Marc

Medford, Oregon

The birds up here are fearless. Absolutely fearless. I've almost run over about five of them alreday today. I stop, or roll slowly until I see them fly out from underneath me, and then I continue on my merry way through the mountains. It's beautiful mountainous country up here, with rolling forested hills leading up and down into elevated lakes with soft rivers flowing back down into the valleys. Work's been pretty easy so far, so I've had a few extra minutes to take some time and enjoy the views.

The airport I flew into, Medford International, is probably the smallest one I've been in to date. I could literally throw a poorly wadded piece of paper from baggage claim to ticketing, but for some insane reason we showed up on a 737 jet instead of a stupid little prop plane. I can't quite figure out what th attraction is up here. Maybe the mountains. Maybe Crater Lake. Whatev. It's something, that's for sure.

And besides, my room's got a complimentary jacuzzi in it.
