Marc

Real quick, before I cascade off to bed, a quick rundown of some albums that I've "acquired" recently, and how I feel about them (at this moment in time) --

Fugazi -- The Argument & The Furniture ep: Damn good. Hella good. In heavy rotation, especially "epic problem". So good.
Denali -- s/t: Good but tiresome after five songs or so. That singer's got a great voice, but I can only take so much of it after a while. Kind of like reading really, really informative books. Just gets me all tired after so long.
Badly Drawn Boy -- About a Boy soundtrack: Actually, kind of the opposite of the Denali record. I get into this one after I get past the first few songs or so. I know that this guy is some kind of enigma, or something. I think people make fun of him like they do Dashboard, but I can't tell why, probably cause this is the first that I'm listening to him. Very melodic, very softspoken. I was told he sounds like Springsteen, and I can't begin to tell you what's wrong with that statement.
Good Life -- Black Out: I'd tell you I like this album, but I don't really know. I've been putting it on right before I go to bed, and only get through the first few songs before I totally zonk out. But, what I hear I like, if that's any comfort to you. And, by the way, I fucking hate Cursive, so either suck on it, or congratulate me.
Gloria Record -- Start Here: I listened to it once through, but didn't really like it all that much. I'll reserve better judgements for a later date.
Strike Anywhere -- Change Is A Sound: Fucking balls out, dude. Totally killer, no motha-fuckin' filla.
Miles Davis -- The Essential Miles Davis: Two discs, too chill to comprehend. I'm finally starting to get into jazz. My grandpa may have been right all those years ago when he told me that jazz was where it's at. Bless his old soul.

Alright. That's all I've got for now. Sorry. I felt like I needed to write something before I went to bed, and this is honestly all that I'm thinking about. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to queue up the Good Life before I fall asleep. Those first songs are good, though the guy sounds like the dude from the Cure, especially in that half-state between sleep and not-sleep.
