zooky, have you heard about the next planned survivor?
three men and three women will be dropped in a high school classroom for 6 weeks. each person will be provided with a copy of their school district's curriculum, and 6 classes of 30 students. the 6 class periods will include 25 learning-disabled children, 14 with A.D.D., 6 considered "gifted," and 12 who speak limited english. 6 will be labeled with severe behavioral disorders.
each person must complete lesson plans at least 3 days in advance with annotations for curriculum objectives and modify, organize, and create materials accordingly. they will be required to teach students, handle misconduct, implement technology, document attendance, write referrals, correct homework, compute grades, complete report cards and progress summaries, communicate with parents, and arrange parent-teacher conferences. they must also monitor the hallways and complete and drills for fire, tornadoes, or shooting attacks. they must attend workshops (100 hours), faculty meetings, union meetings, and curriculum development meetings.
if they are sick or having a bad day, they must not let it show. each day they must provide an educationally stimulating environment at all times.
the contestants must continually advance their education on their own time, and pay for this advanced training themselves. this can be accomplished by moonlighting a second or third job, as well as taking courses during the summer months while putting in hours at aforementioned jobs.
the winner will be allowed to return to his or her former life.
