Portland, OR:
I've been here more than three or four times, I think. Flew into today, walked off the plane, and could not remember, for the life of me, whether or not I've been in the airport. Usually, little details like this never escape me. At LAX, near the 60's gates, there's a Cinnabon outlet where me and my dad eat everytime we're there together (the flights to Chicago are usually around gates 73 & 74, so it's quite a hike for that little treat). At SFO there's The Crab Pot (best damn Crab Ceasar salad and clam chowder in California) right across the hallway from the Brookstone (where I've bought many a paperback). In Washington Reagan, if you walk all the way down to the C Terminal, you can catch the Metro into town, instead of wasting a boatload of money on a cab.
How can I remember all that, and have no fucking clue as to whether or not I've even been in the Portland Airport? It finally hit me that I had been there after I went down the escalator towards the rental car center and the same lady that checked me out last time was there checking me out this time. Strange thing this life we lead.
Six Feet Under alone is worth the price of HBO - just thought I'd let you know, in case you haven't yet heard.
