Believe it or not, teaching at a good school is much more work than teaching at a ghetto school. I am there from 6:45 and I don't leave until 5:15. I only break for lunch.
I really think I am going to fall in love with these kids. They are definitely "at risk" students to use pedagogical jargon, but they are pretty receptive. The "knuckleheads" as the principal calls them are actually funny at times. I have no regrets about leaving. I am just so tired all the time, and it's only my third day. The 2 hours on I-90 are no picnic, either. Can't....wait....for....condo....
