Marc

Bourbonnais.
I made my sister and her friend watch Amelie tonight, and I knew they were going to bitch about the subtitles so I didn't mention word one about them until the movie actually came on and the narrator started talking in French. Heh. Suckers. Never trust a fat man without an overcoat. That should be a cardinal rule.

Speaking of cardinal rules, we've decided to instigate what has become known as The Unicorn Rule at the apartment. Said rule states that, "one is not allowed to talk about things, within the confines of the apartment, that do not exist, such as Unicorns, fair weather, conservative southerners, God, etc." We're hoping to peg down all the rules and regulations by the end of this week and ship it off to a graphic design guy we know who will hopefully whip it up, print it out all nice and big like, and send it back to us. Then, as the plan goes, we frame it, hang it above the entertainment console in the living room, and, when someone starts talking about any item on the list we wave our fingers at them and point them to the list. They'll get the hint eventually. I can't wait.

The going away party for our little Jeff went well last night. I sat on the couch for about an hour and blew up sixty balloons, and then strung streamers all throughout the living room and kitchen before he came home from work. Then we hit up the liquor store to pick up six cases of Keystone Light for the party-goers (which actually include the Hero's very own Zach). No one pays at our parties. It's a tradition I refuse to discard. It was actually a really fun night. I'm seriously going to miss living with Jeff, who's been in three of my last four apartments in some way or another. Stand up guy. Quiet. Keeps to himself but enjoys a good party. Just someone who's nice to have around. Besides, he's a pizza delivery boy so you know that we were getting hooked up all the time. Shit.

So, in honor of my little soldier, Mr. Jeff Larsen, I tip this 12 oz. to him before I crawl back into my parent's living room to play my little brother's video games. Hope all is well in whatever corner the world any of you are coming from. Night.
