scoot

if you were able to pause the action in a middle school classroom for just one second and put aside the fact that, yes, 7th graders can be snotty, defiant, and downright disrespectful at times, you would see that the kids of the early 21st century still have that gleam of hope in their eye that says “here i come world, i’m almost ready..” and you might see this look just once in a great moon, but it could be enough fuel to keep your own ambitions alive, even as man/womankind is slowly but surely ruining everything we have on the way to self-destruction of the highest form.

i know that the serious nature of this is a little unscooterlike, but it’s obvious we’re killing each other here folks. day in and day out. and in turn we’re killing ourselves. yet our children are still here for the molding. and they have the look. unabused by the cliques in high school, uninfected by the apathy bug that hits college students, untouched by the monotony of the business world… in other words, uninhibited with their dreams. the "i can’t change anything, so why even bother trying" attitude is miles away.

and i like that look.
