This is mainly for Zook, though I don't mind much if you read along, especially if you live in the Bloomington-Normal area. Here goes --
Dearest Zook,
Unfortunately the Cellar is no more. That's right, honey, she closed her doors to us last Friday night. I know, I know. It's hard new to take on such short notice. Take a second to compose yourself. Feel better? Now, I'm sure we can find something for us all to do that night, meaning bar probably. Let's not go to the Pub, though. I still don't like that place. How about Lunker's? It has a nice atmosphere, cheap beer, no cover charge at the door, and friendly folks inside. Sound good to you? Mind you, this will take some convincing of the rest of the crew, but hopefully they'll all be in. By the way, I'll actually be able to afford a bar on Thursday cause I sold some books back today and made $63! Can you believe it? I certainly couldn't, especially considering the fact that the two books that paid off the best were ones that I had forgotten under my bed since the summer. Oh, happy day!
In conclusion, I'll keep trying to call you at Ryan's and make concrete plans, and I'll miss you until we finally get to see each other again. It feels like it's been so long, doesn't it? I miss you, dearest. I miss you more than you can know. Good night, and God bless.
Smoochies -- Marc
ps -- Scoot, if you're reading, I miss you too. Oh, how I long to see your lovely face. Pleasant dreams to you.
