ZooK

What is this, velvet?

What is this, three BLARGS in one day?

With good reason: Read quite possibly, next to Howard Zinn & the David Foster Wallace machine, the most
radically fantastic writer&thinker of our time. Mr. Noam Chomsky. Spreading truth, friends.
Also spreading truth, but being censored is Bill Maher. those of you who know me know that I love Politically Incorrect, and I'm fighting mad about the possible cancellation of future shows because Mr. Maher expressed an opinion in a FREE Country. You don't want to sponsor him? Fine. But don't pull him off the air, especially when other sponsors have jumped on ship. I don't agree with 1/2 the things he talks about, but I respect him 100% in his goal of having a voice of dissent on major studio television. Name one other national outlet where you can see the free expression of ideas.

TIme's up, sign the petition, if yer with us.

What is this, Oprah's book club? Yes it is. I am currently reading one hell of a great book called the Corrections by Jonathon Franzen. It is not a book for soccer moms, but, alas, Oprah has chosen it to be her book of the month. This I'm sure of: it's not yer typical Oprah book. Excerpts tomorrow, after sleep and three hours of mind-numbingly bad prose in my Creative Writing class.

Maybe I'll catch fire.

Next five: "Save a life" by hey mercedes; "covering" by the mt.st.helens; "here's to shutting up" by superchunk; "mystifies me" by son volt; and "aja" by the dan.

in the stereo: Hey Mercedes
