The Ring?
So. The Ring. Umm ... how do I say this? Whatever you've heard about this movie, whatever you've read, or just ... whatever. Not scary, alright? Forget the memos you've gotten. It'll make you jump, maybe, if you're a pansy and jump during those parts when the high strings are holding out E flats and F's, and then they go "BOOM!" and show you some gross picture of a drowned girl, or something. That'll make you jump if you're scared by that. For the most part, I laughed. Same as I did during the Blair Boredom Project. My other buddy Luke and myself were cracking up during the entire film, and I swear we were the only ones. When that guy was walking around the forest singing some patriotic tune, I about lost it. Hilarious.
So, that's what I did last night. Popped a lot of cold pills, hooked up with roommate Erin, and went to see the Ring. It was actually pretty fun, though, and it's nice not having to wake up to a headache on a Saturday morning. The weird I've noticed is that I sleep longer without the drinking. To me this doesn't make any sense. I haven't been drunk since Halloween, last Thursday, and I've been getting in so much sleep time, it's becoming kind of ridiculous. For example, slept from about 11:15pm Thursday to 9:15am Friday (with sporadic waking up periods where I do my morning how-much-longer-can-I-still-sleep math), and then fell asleep on the couch that night from about 8:00 to 9:30, then saw the movie, then came home, hung out with all those douchebags that showed up after the party's got out, and crashed at about 3:00am til 12:30pm. Maybe that's why I'm feeling better. Who knows?
And, finally, he's here. Welcome Rick Fast, Matt Fast's dubiously diabolical twin brother, to the Panaphobic Circle. Rick actually wanted to be on a long time ago, but we never let him. I couldn't tell you why. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he's already been on four or five other blogs, and never wrote. So, yeah. He's on now. Expect hilarity to ensue. Peas, bitches.
